Firstly, we need to understand what nutrition is. Nutrition is the science of food that is essential for ones health. Nutrition is also the study of people and their food choices and habits and how it interacts with society, physiology, economy and anthropology.
Nutrition is everywhere. Think about it, is the food we eat not nutrition? Is our health and growth not a reflection of our nutrition? There is no point in dieting your whole life and exercising everyday all day when you really should be out their enjoying a cup of coffee with a slice of chocolate cake without feeling guilty! Most people feel uneasy around nutrition topics such as losing weight, what and what not to eat, exercise regimes and so on. But we are not here to tell you what to do and what not to do. ReplyDeleteEverybody should know their own nutritional status. It is a simple measure by looking at the weight in relation to height which is called Body mass index for adults. Height won't get changed during adulthood. Therefore it is important to watch your weight at least annually.
